RIGHTS WITH NATURE: CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SOCIO-LEGAL PARADIGM

Abstract

The catastrophe that we humans have produced in nature is unlikely to be reversed. An unprecedented cataclysm seems imminent, which will surely affect the survival of all forms of life that exist on our planet. It is incredible that this disaster has been produced by us in a few centuries. The search for palliative solutions in the short term and in the substance in the medium and long term is imperative. Those proposed by the elites of economic and political power are not enough, since no real alternatives are presented to the real causes of the catastrophe in which we are immersed. Long-term planning, without changing the mode of production, or anthropocentrism based on competition and confrontation, will hardly succeed in modifying the destiny we are facing.

This situation has its own history and those responsible. It is necessary to establish how we got to this point and propose real alternatives for coexistence in order to have the hope of getting out of this. Identify the problem, describe it and set objectives that allow us to make radical, revolutionary changes in order to survive with other forms of life.
