THE JUDICIAL SPACE: JUDICIAL REFORM AS BUILDING REFORM

Abstract

In 2004, the province of Santiago del Estero, Argentine Republic, suffered a federal intervention, within the framework of a political-institutional crisis triggered by a resounding legal case. From then on, an important process of judicial reform will take place, where the spatial and building dimension will acquire notable importance. This paper analyzes these aspects from a socio-anthropological perspective and from an ethnographic approach, identifying critical elements and symbolic construction around the situationality of the agents within the institutional structures, as key factors to understand the ways in which the institutional order is constituted in the daily experience of the actors. Also through these elements it is intended to advance in the meaning configurations of some agents, and in the mechanisms through which the relationships between them are configured within the framework of the judicial institution.
