TRANSFORMATION OF THE DAILY LIFE OF COLOMBIANS DURING THE CORONAVIRUS QUARANTINE: A SOCIO-LEGAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

The objective of this research work is to make a socio-legal analysis of the transformation of the daily life of Colombians during the coronavirus quarantine in the years 2020-2021, in order to generate a discussion on the use of sociological theories such as the one predicted by Berger and Luckman () in relation to the social construction of reality, which allows generating a critical analysis on the coronavirus that gave life to Covid - 19, an epidemic that had its outbreak in the city of Wuhan in China and that later became a global pandemic, which affected the social life and rights of Colombians. The method used is that of socio-legal research, of a mixed nature since it has the application of qualitative and quantitative approaches. Techniques were applied to collect information such as semi- structured interviews, surveys and bibliographical cards; and the information analysis techniques were examined through content analysis. In conclusion, we can say that the coronavirus impacted the daily lives of citizens around the world and transformed that of Colombians, since in order to maintain social distancing, state and private workers worked remotely from home, others were fired due to temporary company closures, some business owners declared bankruptcy, making this an alternative conflict resolution mechanism for non-business individuals, because they were able to negotiate debts with their creditors, establishing payment agreements.
